After selling my 86 RX-7 I decided to find a turbo 2 with a blown motor to build next but instead found this jewel in the rough. I got it from a guy named Austin from Bemidji who knows RX-7s and took good care of this one. If not for accidentally forgetting to put the radiator cap back on once this one would still be on the road. Unfortunately it overheated and later began pressurizing the coolant system with combustion gasses, OOPS! Now I'm torn between rebuilding the N/A motor for $800 or buying a JDM Turbo 2 motor and trans for $1400. I have toyed with the idea of a body kit and graphics to make it look like Ryosuke Takahashi's ride from Initial D but first I need to decide wether to keep it and go turbo or fix it for resale and keep looking for a Turbo 2. If I go turbo i'll definitely need to make a roll cage! I'll continue to update my progress here so stay tuned.
